Dear readers,

Although my debut paranormal release, Scottish Werebear: An Unexpected Affair has only come out in September 2015, I’m not new to writing in general. In fact, my mom still tells me to this day about how I would make up stories, and attempt to record them in my clumsy, shaky handwriting from the moment I learned to read and write. From there I went on to write fan fiction and other stuff meant for my own eyes only, until I finally started publishing contemporary romance in 2012 (see L.Moone).

I’ve always enjoyed stories of the paranormal. Vampires, shape shifters, witches and magic, all featured in the books I loved the most, even when I was still growing up. But it wasn’t until much later that I got into romance.

One of the first writers (a self published author just like me!) I came across was Tina Folsom, via her Scanguards Vampire series. I was hooked. From there I went on to read more romance of various flavours until I found a new favorite kind of hero: bear shifters, like the kind written by Milly Taiden, Zoe Chant, and T.S. Joyce. What I love about bears is how they can be all strong and independent, a bit reclusive, and almost grumpy, but they always end up having a heart of gold (plus they tend to know their food, and we all know that a man who can cook is doubly sexy). All that (except for the shifting into a powerful bear) almost exactly describes the sort of man I ended up falling for and marrying in real life, so it’s no surprise that this is what I started my paranormal romance career with.

Anyway, that’s a little bit about me, feel free to tell me about yourself in the comments! Have you always loved shifter books or are you new to them? Who are your favorite authors? I’d love to find out (and perhaps find a great read in the process).

Thanks for reading,

Lorelei

  1. Hello! I am a very recent fan, I wanted to tell you just how much I loved your book:
Best Friends Forever: A Dad Bod Romance.

This is the first book I’ve read that you wrote, and well…

I loved how you showed what they were thinking through the duet, and I loved it as an erotica piece!!!! The sex scenes were very smutty BUT at the same time contributed so much to the emotional plot, and well, smut with really good feelings just makes me cum so hard and leaves me so satisfied! Sorry for being crude, but you do have a way with words that has a profound emotional and sensual appeal. I can feel through your words in the story that, you have experienced it in some way and it sounds like you’re speaking through the heart, and there’s some sense of sincerity and genuineness that really tugged at my heartstrings.

Honestly the number of words and pages was just enough, and it did leave me feeling satisfied. I don’t think it was too rushed, although I might need a reread (I get addicted to rereading books I really love.) I still feel like it should be a bit longer but it was already so good!

Anyways, I am SO GLAD I got to try one of your books. Maybe I’ll try one of your paranormal books since I’ve always been INTO shifter romances (hardcore insane werewolf lover addict here.) I mean, you sound like paranormal romances are more of your forte, but at the same time, I LOVE how you write your contemporary romances!!! Very sweet heroes and heroines, reasonable and enough angst to be compelling, realistic storyline.

    XOXOXOXOXOXO

    • Wow, you’re making me blush over here! Thanks so much for reaching out. In terms of books, I think I’m getting to the point where I have a pretty even balance of paranormal vs contemporary books in my catalogue. This website is dedicated to the paranormal titles, and more info about the contemporaries can be found at lmoone.com. Contemporary is what I started with, and I’ve never been able to move away from it completely even when I first dove into paranormal romance. At the moment, I’m more heavily focused on the contemporary side of things, so if you’ve signed up for my newsletter, you’ll find that I’ll be talking a lot more about contemporary new releases than paranormal ones. But, never say never, I have some paranormal ideas that I’m going to work on at some point in the future, I’m sure.
